About Us:

Founded in 2010, Atlantica Properties is a vertically integrated real estate investment and asset management company with a mission to empower individuals by establishing thriving, holistic communities.

Since its inception, the company has achieved success by acquiring and managing assets that produce strong financial returns.  With a focus on workforce housing, Atlantica employs hands-on business practices and strong industry relationships to execute on opportunities that produce equitable outcomes.

With over 40 years of combined real estate experience, the leadership team at Atlantica Properties is positioned to become one of the premier multifamily brands in the Atlanta market.

The company is managed by its co-founders, Darion Dunn and Trenton Dunn.  Darion and Trenton Dunn are brothers who were born and raised in Atlanta.  They each have an intimate knowledge of the Atlanta landscape, which has helped shape their real estate business.

Darion and Trenton joined forces in 2010 to establish Atlantica Properties, a company that embodies their vision to build communities and empower individuals.  They have worked hard to establish Atlantica Properties as a role model for workforce housing acquisition, development and property management.

Darion Dunn, P.E. is a seasoned real estate developer, engineer, and civic leader with a track record of managing over $1 billion in transportation, infrastructure, and real estate projects. His expertise spans urban redevelopment, mixed-income housing, and strategic capital structuring, all driven by a commitment to creating thriving, holistic communities.

Darion began his career in real estate investment while earning a B.S. in Civil Engineering and a Certificate in Economics at Georgia Tech. He started by acquiring and rehabilitating single-family homes, leveraging his engineering and financial acumen to implement efficient construction management and cost controls. After graduating, he expanded his portfolio to multifamily properties and founded Atlantica Properties in 2010, focusing on sustainable, community-driven real estate development.

Before leading Atlantica Properties full-time, Darion built a strong foundation in engineering and project management. He worked as a Project Manager at Harrington, George & Dunn, P.C., where he gained expertise in site design, land planning, and infrastructure development. At Croy Engineering, he managed large-scale municipal bond and tax-funded projects, overseeing critical transportation and infrastructure improvements. He later served as the Director of Capital Improvements and Planning for the Buckhead Community Improvement District, where he directed high-impact urban projects that enhanced mobility and economic development in one of Atlanta’s most dynamic business districts.

Beyond his professional work, Darion is actively involved in the Atlanta community, serving on the boards of the Atlanta Apartment Association, the Georgia Tech School of Civil & Environmental Engineering Advisory Board, Open Doors, and Star-C. He strongly believes that real estate development should be a catalyst for equitable growth, balancing economic opportunity with long-term affordability. His leadership at Atlantica Properties reflects this mission, ensuring that every project contributes to the strength and resilience of the communities it serves.

Trenton Dunn, CPM, began his career investing in single–family properties in 2003 after attending the Georgia Institute of Technology. He later ventured into multifamily real estate in 2010, co-founding Atlantica Properties.

As a licensed Georgia real estate broker and Certified Property Manager (CPM®), Trenton has gained experience managing acquisitions, tenant relations, and dispositions of institutional assets in over $100M of transactions. Trenton believes in building asset management systems that generate exceptional returns for investors, while also creating opportunities for both tenants and homeowners to gain stability and equity in their communities.

Trenton is currently serving as a Government Affairs committee member for the Georgia Association of REALTORS and also serves as a board member and the Development Committee Chair of Nicholas House.

Trenton is an active member of the Board of Realtist, Atlanta Black Chamber of Commerce, Atlanta Board of Realtors, National Association of Real Estate Brokers, and the Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM).

Trenton attends and supports the housing ministry at New Life Church in Decatur, GA and enjoys volunteering with Nicholas House, Habitat for Humanity, Hosea Feed the Hungry, and Big Brothers Big Sisters of Metro Atlanta. He also enjoys spending time with family, traveling, golf, and Atlanta Hawks basketball.
